Ride horseback through Farnesiana, a beautiful wild protected area in southern Maremma that falls entirely in a ZPS (Special Protection Area). Ride the grounds through wide open spaces, silvery olive groves, Mediterranean shrub to the remains of the medieval town of Cencelle and over hills overviewing the Tyrennian Sea. You will have sightings of porcupines, wild boars, foxes, badgers, turtles, falcons and many other bird species and the chance to meet horses and Maremma cattle with their typical lyre shaped horns that roam freely throughout the area. Our horses are the strong , good tempered Maremmano horses. The Maremmano is the traditional mount of the Maremma cattle men, known as Butteri. We offer trail rides ranging from a day to a whole week for expert riders, but also half-day rides for beginners .
We can organize ride outs with local food snacks or with stops for lunch at farmhouses along the trails. Saddle up, experience a great horse riding adventure that will inspire emotions and everlasting memories. You will fall in love with this beautiful land.
